According to Janna Castillo, Wood County Republican Party Chair, various candidates for county office on the March 1, 2022 Primary Election ballot will participate in 11 forums across the county. Each individual forum will feature those candidates vying for office county-wide and for commissioner in that specific precinct. Only two of the 11 forums will feature candidates for state office.
The Winnsboro News will be sponsoring a forum for candidates to showcase their political platforms to potential voters. On January 27, at Winnsboro Carden Hall beginning at 6 p.m., candidates for District Attorney, County Judge, and Commissioner Precinct 4 will speak and answer questions regarding their candidacy. The forum will be moderated by Chuck Roy, Publisher, and Jim Rogers, Editor, of The Winnsboro News. Written questions will be received from those attending the event. Criteria for questions will be available at the event.
The Community Chronicle will sponsor a forum in Yantis on January 20, at 6 p.m. in the Yantis Community Center. Candidates for District Attorney and County Judge will be present.

Early voting by personal appearance is Monday, February 14 and the last day for Ballot by Mail applications to be received is February 18. In person early voting ends February 28 and Ballot by Mail must be received March 1 unless postmarked and then by Thursday, March 3.
